The Mother-Daughter spa package at Manchester’s leading spa at The Lowry, will allow you and your Mum to relax and enjoy an afternoon of complete pampering, with a luxury pedicure and manicure for two.
Using aromatherapy-based products with thermal booties and mittens for deeper penetration of oils and creams, the end result will leave you and your Mum with gorgeously soft, smooth and perfectly polished finger and toenails.
To complete a full afternoon of pampering and show off your glamorous nails, a traditional afternoon tea at the River Bar is a must (£130 for spa and afternoon tea or £100 for spa only).
The award winning River Restaurant has a special, three-course lunch that will be just perfect for you and your Mum to unwind together. Eyck Zimmer, the highly acclaimed Executive Head Chef at The Lowry has with his team, devised an extra special menu - crafted specifically with Mum’s in mind.
Starters include, smoked salmon 'cannelloni' with crème fraiche and Sevruga caviar and cream of celeriac soup with wild mushroom. Main courses draw on Zimmer’s modern and acclaimed European style with a trio of choices including a traditional roast beef and Yorkshire pudding, roast fillet of salmon with horseradish crust and spring vegetables or leek and black truffle tart with soft free range egg.
Dessert is undeniably the perfect way to complete your pampering by choosing from chocolate delice and blackberry sorbet, modern Manchester tart with banana and coconut and apple crumble with clotted cream – and don’t forget to have a freshly brewed coffee or tea with petit fours to finish.
Creating the perfect platform for a quality Mother-Daughter lunch, The River Restaurant’s stunning surroundings overlook the waters of the River Irwell and allow you to spend time with your Mum in complete tranquillity. The very special three-course, Mother’s Day lunch is just £35 per person.
